Install the Add-on: First, you need to install the SkiVEMS-Merge-Rows Add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Once installed, you'll find it under the Extensions menu in your Google Sheets.
Open Your Spreadsheet: Open the Google Sheet where you want to merge rows. Make sure your data is organized with a header row at the top.
Access the Add-on: Click on the "SkiVEMS-Merge-Rows" menu in the Google Sheets Extensions menu bar.
Select 'Merge Rows with Same ID': This option will open a prompt asking you to enter the name of the column that contains the identifier you want to merge rows by.
Enter the Column Name: Type the name of the column that contains the unique identifiers (e.g., "Product ID" or "Customer Name") and click "OK".
Wait for the Process to Complete: The add-on will now process your data. It will merge rows that have the same identifier in the specified column. This means that all information from rows with the same identifier will be combined into a single row.
Review the Results: Once the process is complete, your data will be updated. Rows with the same identifier will be merged, and the information will be combined into a single row.
Column Not Found: If you receive a "Column not found" alert, double-check the column name you entered. Make sure it matches exactly with the header in your sheet, including any spaces or capitalization.
Invalid Column Name: If you enter an empty or incorrect column name, you'll receive an "Invalid Column Name" alert. Make sure to enter the exact name of the column you want to merge by.
